Collegiate

In honor of starting the spring semester of university at Johns Hopkins last Monday, I decided to shoot a college specific outfit. College is a difficult time to dress for because you want to be comfortable, trendy, and slightly professional at the same time. For the more "professional"side of this look, I wore my hair in a low bun, a plain white chunky infinity scarf, a classic straight cut trench coat, and a vintage Louis Vuitton bucket bag. The bun keeps my hair out of my face and also hides my ombre hair slightly, as it may not be considered appropriate in a more professional setting. To stay trendy but comfortable, I let my hair down and picked out a soft loose striped button down from Abercrombie & Fitch, knee-high traditional riding boots from Ralph Lauren (staples on campus), and stretchy high-waisted jeggings from Bershka. The best thing about these jeggings is that they really do look like jeans, but are so much easier to move around in. I like the slight distressed pattern that they have, it adds a slightly different aspect to the outfit without being over the top. I would feel comfortable wearing this outfit to a meeting with a professor or even to a more casual job interview. It looks put together and clean without trying too hard. After letting my hair loose and taking off the scarf, I would wear this to dinner with friends or a movie.

Get the look:
Dusty pink trench coat- Forever 21
High-waisted jeggings- Bershka
Tall brown riding boots- Ralph Lauren (similar)
Button up shirt- Abercrombie & Fitch (similar)
Monogram bucket bag- Louis Vuitton (similar)
White infinity scarf- Primark (similar)
