Christmas in Crimson

Christmas is a pretty special day of the year, so you have to dress like it! Reds and greens are common and festive, so I got this simple but elegant bright red fit and flare dress from Forever 21. The neckline is low enough to make the dress more interesting, but it is still modest enough to wear for a more formal occasion. I find this dress to be very flattering and comfortable too. I paired it with a knit patterned cardigan from Abercrombie & Fitch that I received as a gift today. It's really cosy and soft, plus the pattern and monochrome colour scheme is a nice contrast to the dress. To finish it off, I wore my white strappy heeled sandals from H&M. The heel is low enough so the shoe is comfortable, and I wore them all day. Happy holidays everyone!

Christmas Jumper Season

It's Christmas Eve and you can definitely feel the holiday cheer in the air! I'm in Tennessee this Christmas, so it's warm enough to wear a skirt with tights. I absolutely love this fluffy jumper from Pull & Bear that I got while in Portugal. The colours are so pretty, and it's so soft and comfortable. Really great quality and warm too. I paired it with a bright red skater skirt and red lipstick to make it truly Christmasy. The skirt is a thick material and is definitely a winter skirt.

A Royal Affair- Holiday Lookbook Day 3

Finally posting the last Portugal pictures! I've just been so busy with finals that I haven't had a chance to blog before now.

On this day, I went to the cutest little town in Algarve called Silves. These photos were taken atop the castle there. It really was such a beautiful location, the top of the tower had been turned into a lovely garden, and walking around the edge gave panoramic views of the town and the green farmland beyond. The weather was fantastic, so I opted for a more summery look. I paired a flowy patterned crop top from PacSun with high waisted destroyed Naf Naf denim shorts. I love the detail of the straps of the crop top, its like a string of embroidered daisies. Because I was going to do quite a bit of walking, I'm wearing a simple pair of black ankle boots from NewLook. I wear them all the time and they're so versatile. For a bit of added warmth, I also wore the floral patterned kimono from Urban Outfitters that I featured in my Halloween post a few weeks back.

Portugal was so beautiful and so rich in culture, I would definitely go back! Missing it already.
