Lisbon- Holiday Lookbook Day 2

No trip to Portugal is complete without a trip to Lisbon, so I went up for the night. Since I was traveling north, I had to dress a little warmer. I opted for a cute lace collared tank from Topshop tucked into Pull & Bear black high waisted jeans (bought in Ireland). I paired this with an embroidered linen jacket from Urban Renewal and a pair of tan leather heeled booties that I bought in Lagos. I swept my hair to the side in kind of a half french braid, I did keep taking pieces of my hair in as I braided down, but didn't use the entirety of my hair. This kept it looking loose yet classy. These pictures were actually taken in the courtyard of St George's castle! The view from the castle was stunning, I would definitely recommend you visit if you're ever in Lisbon.

The Tip of the World- Holiday Lookbook Day 1

Right now, I am fortunate enough to be on vacation in the south of Portugal, in the Algarve district! Today I visted Ponta da Piedade, a peninsula of sorts that juts into the ocean. I titled this post the tip of the world because back in the day, Europeans thought that the coast of Portugal was the most extreme bounds of the earth. If you are ever in Lagos, you should definitely go see it, it was absolutely stunning. I matched the ocean and sky today with a simple powder blue shift dress from Missguided. This dress is so simple, yet so cute and flattering. You can dress it up with a big statement necklace and holographic platform heels, or keep it casual with sunnies and flats like I did. It would also make a nice beach cover up if you wanted to go swimming. I absolutely love the colour, it is complimentary to basically all skin tones. I left my hair very natural and wavy to go with the beachy vibe of the day. Purchased the Missguided dress while I was in the UK over the summer, the sunnies from I Am accessories in Rotterdam, and the flats from Urban Outfitters in the states.

Fall into Summer

So if you're like me, you see all the summer clothes on sale when fall begins and just have to buy them, justifying that you'll wear them on holiday and next year. Meanwhile, you open your closet every day and see all of these cute new clothes that you haven't been able to wear because it's 14 Celsius outside, and they just taunt you. While you can't just wear an all summer outfit in the middle of autumn, you can take elements of summer and incorporate them into your fall outfit. Summery elements that I'm wearing here are an Urban Outfitters cropped tee, a thin and light jacket from Forever 21, and strappy heeled sandals from H&M. I layered the crop and the light jacket under a loose parka from Hollister, and paired them with my new high waisted ripped knee jeans (Blake Natural Waist jeggings in medium destroyed wash) from Hollister too. I was so excited when I saw these jeans in Hollister, as I've been lusting after the Topshop ripped knee jeans for ages, but Topshop is hard to get a hold of in America. Even though they are listed as jeggings, they are more like really comfortable jeans. I wore a simple pair of white socks to keep my feet a bit warmer in the heeled sandals. Layering is actually really great for fall, as the weather is always changing; it can be freezing in the morning yet very pleasant in the afternoon.
